As mentioned earlier, this will work on ALL other generations of Xbox. I only have an Xbox 360 on hand to test (I currently do not own a ONE or a Series X/S), and upon testing I've had just as much success on the 360 as I've had on the original Xbox. This little device REALLY does work without a fuss.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out independently. If anyone else was wondering, yes, the HDDX partition can be modified with the HDDXfixer utility. After using that utility and copying the files to Partition 2, I am now able to play all my original Xbox games.
