Business class or/and VIP seats on Blue Star Ferries is a separate section with larger seats on the upper deck with the most comfortable seating. Both Business and VIP have their own bars and are restricted to passengers holding Blue Star Ferries ticket for those sections. Review of Blue Star Ferries. Reviewed April 5, 2017. Athens to Santorini tales 7-8 hours - traveling with teenagers after leaving our hotel at 6am - booking a cabin was worth it. To be able to stretch out and have a nap made the trip very comfortable. The 5 euros for the all day wifi is also worth it. Highly recommend Blue Star Ferries for the Piraeus is a big, busy harbour but there is a free shuttle bus running between the quays. Once we'd found out how to use the shuttle and then found our boat, the Superfast XII, it was easy. The Superfast is a big, comfortable ship with all modern amenities. The weather was good so there was hardly any swell.
My understanding is that Blue Star is slower (5-5.30h) but generally more comfortable. Whilst Seajets uses the Worldchampion Jet which is faster (3h30m) but possibly less comfortable in rougher waters and largely/only indoor. I know the small fast ferries get a bad rep for being uncomfortable but my understanding is that the big fast ferries
Blue Star Delos ferry is 475 feet long, 75 feet wide and can hold 2400 passengers and 427 vehicles in its garages. Blue Star Delos was built in South Korea in the same shipyard as the Blue Star Patmos part of a 140 Million euro investment by Blue Star Ferries. The ship has comfortable public spaces, offering year round comfortable and luxurious
Prices & Tickets. The prices for ferry tickets are between 48 EUR and 164 EUR. Standard tickets cost up to 89.7 EUR depending on the vessel type, while business-class ticket prices are 80.5 EUR - 120 EUR. The most expensive tickets are in VIP class in speed boats or if a cabin is included in conventional boats.
The Business class lounge had a great forward looking bank of windows that were set with tables and comfy chairs, the side lounges were set with sofas and groupings of chairs and tables. There was enough room that people lay on sofas and took naps without seeming to hog space.
