The Kinect does work as well, I've used it before on my Xbox One. Issue #1. When plugged into a USB 3.0 port as instructed my computer does not recognize anything has been plugged in. Not even that it's an unknown device, it's just not there. No sound, no notification, nothin. The light on the adapter turns on as well, but not the Kinect itself. Firmly plug the power cable back into the console. Press the Xbox button on the console to power it on. Unplug the Kinect adapter cable from the USB port on the back of the console.
